Your Google AdWords Account is Suspended!

by admin on August 14, 2009

Many Google AdWords DIYers find their accounts get suspended. Why? All that they recieve is an email from the Google AdWords Team stating that their account has been suspended and no advertisements will run on Google. The reason being non-compliance with Google AdWord’s Terms of Service and Advertising policies.

Have you received one such email from the Google Team?

Many customers who are new to AdWords are unaware of Google’s policies that they need to adhere to while setting up their accounts. Google’s Help Center provides all the necessary info but let’s face it – you were anxious to dive in and get started right away.

You created your AdWords account created the new campaigns, ad groups, and stuffed a huge list of keywords in each ad group. The next thing that happens is you spend a ton of money, wonder if it’s working and then one fine day your shocked with an email that the account is suspended.

On the flip side, many small business owners acknowledge that they are too busy managing their business to familiarize themselves with everything they need to know about online marketing, SEO and geo-targeting local search shoppers. Additionally, such companies usually don’t have an IT department or an in-house web staff so they choose to outsource it to a third party provider. They contact faceless providers through any of the many project bidding websites. You post your requirements and set a budget. Someone bids as low as $50 for your project, which is really worth $500 and a full day of planning.  End result, dissatisfaction!

So what’s the solution? The solution lies in searching for a good provider who has the necessary credentials for optimizing an AdWords account and partnering with you to build an online web presence for your local business. How do you ensure that you’re getting a quality search marketer?

  1. Ask your provider if they are GAP certified? GAP stands for Google AdWords Professional. This certification is only awarded when a person completes an online exam and is well versed with the Google AdWords system and their Policies and Terms and Conditions?
  2. Find out if your provider has any hands on experience in optimizing Google AdWords accounts? In SEO?
  3. For how long has your provider been optimizing Google AdWords accounts? Has your provider hired an experienced staff?
  4. How will they go about optimizing your PPC and online presence?

We all like to make the best use of our hard-earned money. In most cases, low priced services do not offer the best quality. They are low priced because the quality is compromised. Where does this leave the small business owner? Caught between a rock and a hard place. Until now. AdzZoo’s solution offers local businesses the only affordable solution to compete with big-budget competitors.

The choice is now in your hands!

Angie,

Great minds… I posted an article just a few hours ago where I mentioned that, “there are a lot of self-proclaimed ‘SEO experts’ out there who know enough to be dangerous and tell a great story, but are not qualified to execute a professional online advertising campaign”.

This is becoming a real problem because people are hearing more about SEO and Pay-Per-Click and realize that they need to hire a PRO to create and manage their campaigns… but they don’t know where to turn. With AdzZoo employing “Qualified AdWords Professionals”, they are assured of receiving the best service from a reputable company.

Looks like we’re all thinking about the same issues :-)

Angie, very nice post, however it does not speak to the true issue and the title of your post.

Small business owners are being put out of business by impossible to follow guidelines for Adwords. They are given one shot to do it right from 1000’s of pages of tutorials. Then when they make a major, minor or any mistake in between they get an email saying;

“Your ads will no longer run on Google. This policy will apply to all accounts you have created. As noted in our Terms and Conditions, Google reserves the right to terminate advertisements for any reason” and as a side note “Our support team is unable to provide any further information. Please do not contact us again.”!

This means you are no longer welcome on Google, your name, your address, your credit card #’s, your URL, your IP, your company name, your site content, etc. etc. It is all tracked by Google and all Banned from Google for the very 1st instance of their definition of a violation. You are not even allowed to contact them to discuss it in hopes they can explain your error and give you a chance to do it right. So here you are, not just out of your business, you are out of EVERY business. You cannot open another Google account without being blocked again and wasting your time. You cannot hire “Good” PPC company to assist you because your URL and company are banned from Google. You cannot afford to start over and guess what Google kept your Adwords money too. Good people, people who can’t afford to have their money taken and their accounts banned by Google are losing their financial lives to this.

Its all fun and games to Google, but if you were making $2500 a month running Google ad’s to your website. 100% legal and in the right, and one day you are banned for life. That’s it, Google sends you the email above and you have to tell your family that you lost your income, in this recession when so much of this country is out of work.. and when your family says “What happened?” you can say “Google told me to never contact them again” This country runs on the small business, Google is destroying the very fabric of legitimate free enterprise. Search “adwords suspending people” on Google to read Thousands of personal accounts and the responses Google offers “If your account has been suspended we suggest you find other methods of advertising”

This issue needs a voice.
