VP of Internet Marketing - AdzZoo
This is a topic that came up at the AdzZoo Official Launch. I thought it would make a great blog topic because it is completely relevant to the search marketing and what we do here at Adzzoo.
What AdzZoo sells is a moderate, but fully equipped search marketing package to small businesses needing a web presence. If this was the world of automobiles, this would be a Ford, and a damn good one… maybe the new redesigned Ford Taurus (no promotional dollars changed hands here). However, no matter how comfortable and classy that Ford is, it will never be a Mercedes. The Mercedes costs more and is without an argument a car that does a lot more. But the Ford is perfectly fine and great at what it does in it’s own right.
Some of the expectations of AdzZoo’s services and such that we get are great examples of wanting a Mercedes for a Fords price. I won’t list these out individually because that isn’t the point. The point is when doing search marketing; you don’t need to always buy a Mercedes. A Ford can get you there pretty well and do it comfortably. There’s nothing wrong with the Ford; it runs well. When spending for search marketing, you can get a pretty good Ford with AdzZoo’s plan. However, people want to compare their results with plans costing 10Xs as much. Those expensive plans are different plans with different goals – good in their own right. Is one plan better than the other? Well, that depends on your goals. If your goal is to get from point A to Point B successfully, the difference is very small and some plans are overkill in reaching this goal. Some are just over-priced.
When you buy your Ford, enjoy your Ford… love your Ford… Just know it’s a Ford and it’s a darn good car for your limited budget. If you need the Mercedes, buy the Mercedes… just be able to afford the Mercedes price.
